Our Team

Osage Regional Veterinary Clinic LLC is family owned and operated in Osage County, Missouri since 1999. The ORVC team is dedicated to supporting and providing service to our central Missouri community. Our doctors and staff live in Osage County and raise their families here. We are all invested in this thriving community.

All three of our veterinarians and many of our staff members live and work on their family farms here in Osage County, therefore family farms are near and dear to our hearts. We have endured many of the same challenges as our clients with our livestock as well as our companion animals. We don’t just talk the talk, we live and breathe family farms and our rural community! Chances are we have seen you at many local businesses, church, local school events, or the county fair!

DVM

Nan Taylor-Keilholz, DVM

Dr. Taylor-Keilholz is a 1994 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. She worked as an associate veterinarian in 2 rural mixed animal practices in central Missouri after graduation. In 1999, an opportunity arose for her to buy Dr. Eugene Plegge’s practice in Linn, Missouri. By the spring of 2005 the practice had outgrown its building and our present hospital facility was built just west of Linn.

Dr. Nan grew up on a small farm near Wellsville, Missouri in Montgomery County. She loves rural life. She married into a farm family and lives on the family farm near Chamois with her husband, Lenny, their two daughters, a herd of angus cattle, and their dogs and cats.

In her free time, she enjoys working on the farm and spending time with her adult daughters who are both in college.

Kyle Kuschel, DVM

Dr. Kyle is a 2015 graduate of the University of Missouri College of Veterinary Medicine. He also has a bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from MU. Kyle is married to Kelli, also a veterinarian, and they have 5 children, Marshal, Henry, Sawyer Jane, Tucker and Maclain. Kyle grew up on his family’s diversified farm in Osage County. Kyle is interested in beef cattle reproduction and cow/calf management, but enjoys working with all animals, large and small. Outside of work he enjoys spending time with family on the farm, fishing, playing and practicing various sports with his kids.

Hilary Haslag, DVM

Hilary grew up in St. Louis with a love of animals. She worked for Nestlé Purina for 4 years while she was obtaining her bachelor’s degree in animal science from the University of Missouri. She graduated from the College of Veterinary Medicine in 2013. Her primary interests in vet-med include oncology, PT – rehab, and preventative medicine.

Hilary married her husband, Chris, in 2015 and currently resides in northern Osage County, where they own and operate a 4th generation century farm. They welcomed their daughter, Jennifer, in 2020 and son, August, in 2023.

When Hilary is not at the clinic, she can be found either on the farm, gardening, sewing, fishing, cooking, or playing with her children.

Veterinary Assistants

Alexa Maxey

Alexa grew up on a family farm in Linn, Missouri, and now lives in Belle with her husband, Levi, and their two daughters, where they run their own small farm. A dedicated member of the ORVC team since 2015, Alexa provides care for both small and large animals. Outside of work, she loves spending her free time horseback riding, gardening, hunting, and enjoying the great outdoors with her family.

Ben Redden

Ben is a large animal technician and has been with ORVC since 2018. Ben lives with his wife, Sarah on his family farm near Chamois, MO. In his spare time, he tends to his herd of Beef Master cattle.

Mary Ashley Shanks

Mary Ashley was born and raised in Rena Lara, Mississippi, and has had a lifelong passion for animals. She has been part of the ORVC team since 2019 and feels blessed to turn her love for animals into a career. She is especially passionate about advocating for Bully breeds and changing the misconceptions surrounding these loving and loyal dogs. Outside of the clinic, Mary Ashley enjoys spending time with her family, husband, and two daughters, Natalee and Gemma. She spends her free time trail riding her beloved horse,Dolly. She loves sharing her passion for animals and the outdoors with her girls.

Veronica Slack

Veronica Slack grew up in Morrison, MO, and now resides in Pershing, MO. She began working with ORVC in 2022, where she provides care for both large and small animals. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys reading, spending time outdoors, and helping on her family’s cattle farm, where she also cares for her own animals, including three dogs—Snickers, Gizmo, and Goose—as well as beef cattle and quarter horses. She values hard work, family, loyalty, and the simple joys of country life.

Alex Gier

Alex grew up in Russellville and has always loved being around animals. She has been with ORVC since 2026 working with small animals and is attending MACC to get her veterinary technology degree. She loves to hike with her two dogs and read when she is not at work.

Reception

Renee Clark

Renee is originally from Columbia, MO but moved to Linn in 2015 when she met her husband, Terry. They have 3 dogs and 3 cats that they love so much! Renee has been with ORVC since 2021. In her free time, you can find her reading a book, playing a game, or outdoors with her dogs, taking photographs, or kayaking.

Rachel White

Rachel grew up in Westphalia and has recently moved back to the area. She has has a passion for animal since she was a little girl and loves being able to be around them for work. She has 2 rescue dogs, Sophie and Murphy, and 4 rescue cats, Benard, Wilma, Betty, and Dink. In her spare time, she loves being at home with her pets, attending auctions and antiquing, and working on puzzles.

Carly Hughes

Originally from Russellville, MO Carly moved to the Westphalia/ Loose Creek area around 2000. She started working at ORVC in 2016 and loves it! Her and her husband love to spend time with their kids and grandkids (and fur babies) and camping at the river.

Carly Mengwasser

Carly grew up in Koeltztown, MO. She has worked at ORVC in the summers since 2021. Her long -term goals include obtaining a pre-vet undergraduate degree at William Woods University and applying to veterinary school. She enjoys spending time with her friends and family. She also enjoys spending time on the family farm.

Tristin Cremer

Tristin grew up in Rich Fountain. She joined the ORVC Team In April of 2025 and plans to stay while she attends Crowder University to become a Veterinary Technician. In her free time, she enjoys playing with her pets, reading books, and spending time with her family and friends.

Kristi Wibberg

Kristi Wibberg joined the ORVC team in 2024. She will graduate high school in 2026 and plans on majoring in animal science. She's a member of FFA and National Honor Society. Kristi's family raised pork and dabbled in crop production. She enjoys acrylic painting, reading, and playing in the band.

Maggie Peters

Maggie grew up on a large turkey and cattle farm in Bonnots Mill. She joined the ORVC team in June of 2026. She will graduate high school in 2027 and plans to go to Mizzou to major in animal science and then apply to vet school. In her free time, Maggie likes to pole vault, ride her horses, and hangout with her friends and family.
